Hey, this dress does a good job of minimizing the bump :) Is it the distraction of the bow? Or is it the fact that the dot pattern masks my turkey-popper belly button?

Regardless, Baby Jean-Louis is considered full-term now. She is not welcome to make an appearance, however, until Pascal returns from Romania on Saturday! Oh, and it would be nice if she waited until after her new mattress and sheets arrive too . . .

35w6d, Needles On Fire

For the car, a mini-pinwheel, with my first ruffled edge:














I finished knitting the cherry hat yesterday, but it seems so deep. Before closing the top and sewing on the cherry bobble, I will wait for baby to arrive to get a better idea of how big her head is! No more hat knitting until then.

35w5d, See, I Have Been Knitting!

35w1d, 8 Month Check-Up

I love in-and out visits: the baby is still head down and now weighs around 5 1/4 lbs (2.4 kg), .4 kg more than at the 3/25 visit! She's getting bigger . . .

My next appointment is Tuesday, May 6th.

35w, Only Five Weeks Left

It's hard to believe that in a mere two weeks, this baby will be full-term! I need to get organized :)

I had another massage today for my sciatica. While the 10-15 minutes passes far too quickly, I do believe the sessions are helping, combined with the easy exercises that the therapist prescribed.

Tomorrow is my 8 month check-up!

34w2d, I Survived The Last One

The last childbirth preparation class, that is! Class#1 was last Tuesday, April 1st. Class#2 was Wednesday, April 2nd, and class#3 was this morning.

When I got the call from the midwife at the hospital with the dates (during the week) and time (10:30 am), I was a bit surprised, because how were spouses going to attend?

I informed Pascal and he said that if he was here, he would go with me.

I was one of seven ladies and Pascal was the only spouse in attendance! I thought the info provided was helpful for both parties, but I guess someone else thinks that spouses don't need that info.

Unfortunately, Pascal is on the road for a few weeks so he missed the final class. I managed to keep up (Emilie was a fast-talker! Even Pascal agreed!) and now have 4.5 hours of childbirth preparation under my belt.

I also had an appointment this afternoon with an anesthesiologist at the hospital re: an epidural. He took a short health history so when push comes to shove (literally), the epidural can be administered. Good times.

My next OB appointment is on the 15th!
