Happy Halloween!

We fell back last night so today feels a bit off   . . . in typical Halloween weather, it's raining here!  Good thing there is no trick-or-treating.  There are a few costumes in the stores, but for most French, today is just October 31st (I did see a poster for a Halloween "ball" last night in a neighboring village).   


We had to harvest our rogue pumpkins at the end of September because Pascal saw a black viper (!) during our daily inspection of the garden.  After donning boots and placing Sophie in the wheelbarrow, we did not find the snake.  The weather was gorgeous so I took a few pics of our poodle Fifi:

Last night, Pascal gave Sophie her bath and diapered her, then came outside and found me cutting some hydrangeas.  Sophie rushed over to "help" and Pascal started laughing when he saw his stellar diapering job:

She replied:  Go away.
