Our courtyard is fairly rocky and can be a bit muddy/damp, so Sophie's crib shoes weren't cutting it! I see a lot of cute shoes in her future ;)

I'm so annoyed with myself right now! I just looked at my calendar and I clearly noted that Sophie's appointment was at 3:00 on Tuesday. I think I had 3:30 in my head because that was the time of my dentist appointment the week before, but d'oh! Note to self: CHECK CALENDAR NEXT TIME.

So, our wisp of a girl carries 17.8 lbs (8.1 kg) on her 28.2" (71.5 cm) frame! We both thought that she weighed more and was taller . . .

We need to bulk her up :)

9m, 3/4 Of A Year

Sophie's nine month checkup was at 3 pm today. It's too bad we got there around 3:10 (thinking the appointment was at 3:30), just as the doctor was calling to say hey! you're late! I can't fit you in now so come back Thursday at 4! D'accord! On Thursday at 4, we will know how much Sophie has grown in the past three months.

In the meantime, Sophie eats yet another calendar page on her monthiversary (Martha Stewart didn't say anything about THAT when she printed the idea in one of her magazines):














She didn't seem to mind that I took the tasty page away:

This is Sophie in her apprenti marcheur - or, the back saver, as we like to call it! Sophie loves, loves, loves to "walk" around but our backs don't love, love, love it. She picked up the empty bottle of laundry detergent in the bathroom and proceeded to carry it around :)

Today marks the point where Sophie has been in our arms as long as she was in utero . . . she's thinking about what that means :)
